TONIGHT: Murtaza Khan at Brunel ISOC

277081_110412012389595_1770684_nTonight, Brunel University Islamic Society (ISOC) presents a fully ‘segregated’ two hour talk by Murtaza Khan aka Abu Hasnayn Murtaza Khan. Khan is a regular on the ISOC circuit. In October he lectured at Queen Mary and at the University of West London. The subject of his upcoming talk is on 'existence'.

It’s an interesting topic which has been thought over by many great philosophers. But before you RSVP you might want to consider some of Mr Khan’s previous pearls of wisdom, such as: ‘For how long do we have to see our mothers, sisters and daughters having to uncover themselves before these filthy non-Muslim doctors? We should have a sense of shame.’

Khan inadvertently appeared on the Channel 4 documentary ‘Dispatches: Undercover Mosque’ and made other peculiar comments: ‘We have become Jews in our clothing, Jews in our eating, Jews in everything that we do, and the other half is Christian in everything we do. Muslims are following one of these accursed nations. And people are still not waking up to understand the fact that these people are enemies towards us'

Universities must do more to ensure that speakers are vetted and those such as Mr Khan, who clearly hold extreme and despicable views, should be stopped from turning prestigious platforms into pulpits for the perverse. Student Rights calls on Brunel ISOC to balance this platform, challenge Khan on his intolerant statements and seek out truly representative Muslim speakers who don't peddle intolerance for a living.

We'd say get in touch with them by their website but... where is it?
